Alientech Academy Day 1: Getting to know Alientech devices and software
The first day of Alientech Academy brought students an inspiring and practical experience:
The atmosphere was bustling
From the first minutes, there was a spirit of excitement. Students from many garages across the country listened attentively to the introduction about the importance of ECU remap in modern tuning trends. Questions about tuning trends, the ability to deeply intervene in each engine parameter were asked continuously, and lecturer Mattia Bragato – with his extensive experience – answered thoroughly, helping everyone to dispel all confusion.
In-depth but accessible theory session
– Comprehensive Remap Process: From ECU hardware testing, connection mode selection (OBD, Bench, Boot) to the method of extracting the original file, every step is analyzed with clear illustrated diagrams.
– “A to Z” explanation: Concepts such as map file, checksum, driver are no longer dry keywords; instead, through visual examples, students can easily visualize how each parameter interacts with each other, ensuring a safe and effective remap.
Hands-on practice on Alientech devices
– KESS3 flexible connection: Each group of students is given a KESS3 device, manually plugging the wire through the OBD port, removing the Bench board, then switching to Boot mode to handle faulty ECUs. The experience of “touching” the hardware has helped everyone grasp the process and important notes on safe connections.
– ECM Titanium: On the ECM Titanium software, students learn how to find and adjust each map table, observe intuitive 3D charts, and try to calculate checksums.
Feedback & Professional Connection
– Throughout the day, the atmosphere of exchanging experiences between students was lively. Many students shared practical “problems” from their garages, and discussed solutions based on the knowledge they had just learned.

So, after the first day, each student not only has a solid foundation of knowledge about ECU, remap and tuning, but also has practical skills on Alientech equipment to be ready to improve the service at their garage. The second day promises to be full of surprises and new challenges!
