Hino P0667 Fault Code: Denox ECU Temperature Sensor 1, 2 – Rationality

Technical Description
- Sensor values of the 2 temperature sensors in the DCU are compared.
- Malfunction is indicated if the temperature differential exceeds a set value.
Description Of Malfunction
DCU temperature sensor malfunction has been detected.
DTC Set Condition
DTC Detection Condition:
- Starter switch ON.
- Battery voltage range is in the 9 V to 16 V range.
Judgment Criteria:
The absolute value of (temperature sensor 1 – temperature sensor 2) > 15°C (59°F) for more than 10 seconds.
Reset Condition
After having restored to the normal conditions.
Indication, Warning Or System Control Regulation When The DTC Is Set
- MIL: ON
- DCU failure inspection is stopped.
Symptoms On The Vehicle When The DTC Is Set
Check if the battery voltage is in the normal range.
Pre – Inspection Work
Check if the battery voltage is in the normal range.
After – Inspection Work
- Clear all past DTCs.
- Check if no DTC is stored after test drive.

Troubleshooting Steps
Step 1) Check the DTC detected (DCU) [Diagnostic Tool].
- Set the starter switch to the “LOCK” position.
- Connect the vehicle to the diagnostic tool.
- Set the starter switch to the “ON” position.
- Select [DCU] and check if P0667 has been detected.
Has DTC P0667 been detected?
| Yes – Replace the DCU. (After replacing the DCU, perform a DPR forced regeneration.)
Clear all past DTCs. Check if no DTC is stored after test drive. |
No – Erase the malfunction history. Procedure completed.
Clear all past DTCs. Check if no DTC is stored after test drive. |
